In between resting and reflecting, I also have plans for learning.
Tinker Tool of the Summer:
Students are reading both Ethan Frome and Invisible Man. The sheer complexity and length of Invisible Man may dissuade students from beginning. I am hoping this interactive tool will help them with tackling the novel along with the benefit of the multiple perspectives from classmates.
Annenburg-Newseum Summer Institute for Teachers
I am excited about this highly competitive opportunity to learn alongside colleagues from different places. I am also looking for to the takeaways that I can use in my own classroom.
