Edmodo vs Blogger

As I type, I am in a PD with my bestie from work...Karen.  She is leading the PD and teachers are setting up Edmodo accounts.  Karen knows that I am not a big fan of converting to Edmodo....why?

1.  I started on Blogger and I love it especially now that the reply directly to posts feature is there.

2.  I am super comfortable with Blogger (posting, commenting, embedding, gadgets...etc)

3.  I don't want to change from Blogger!  LOL (that is what is really about)

NOW, I do see the benefit to using Edmodo so BEGRUDGINGLY,  I set it up.  I am housing pertinent documents in this space right now and I MAY become an active user (not a convert).

What I like about Edmodo:

Everything is in one space!  (Assignments, Calendar, Quizzes & Polls)

RSS Feeds and embedding are fairly easy for new techno users

MAJOR PLUS:  I can connect with other teachers in my district fairly easily
There is an app for students to add on their mobile devices
It looks like facebook an interface students are already comfortable with
