P21 Presentation today at our school

Today, we had a refreshing presentation by Frank Gallagher, the chairman of P21. I really enjoyed our discussion as we took a look at the 4 Cs. Creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking are the transdiciplinary skills that unite the various content areas. I am even more committed to forwarding our thematic approach this year as we tackle the topic of homelessness, hunger and poverty.

I will also be looking at C. Berger's "The Complete Guide to Service-Learning" to give teachers potential entry points. Our students are pumped about making a difference. I look forward to watching them grow and learn from this experience.
